Pictogram booklets
There are 4 pictogram booklets. Each one contains illustrations and words on different topics.
- No. 1: shopping, café, restaurant, fruit, vegetables, bakery, butcher, local shop, newsstand, gift shop, florist, shoemaker, DIY store, post office, bank, (public) transport, pharmacy, optician, clothing, hairdresser;
- No. 2: housing, cleaning, waste sorting (organic, glass, household, hazardous, paper, PMD…), body, doctor, dentist, hospital, health insurance, police, town hall, library, station, stadium, theatre;
- No. 3: sport, leisure (general and music), culture, tourism (general, transport, weather), pets;
- No. 4: school, daycare, work (professions, office, industry), personal data.
Translation booklet
Have you recently moved to the municipality and don’t understand or speak much Dutch yet? The translation booklet helps you with your first contact at the town hall.
It contains basic questions and sentences for use at the counter. The vocabulary is translated into French, German, and English.
Sports booklet ‘Mijn kind wil sporten’
Looking for a Dutch-speaking sports club for your child? Don’t understand or speak much Dutch yet? This booklet helps you.
It includes images and words in Dutch to help you find a club and communicate with it.
Football booklet ‘Aftrap Nederlands’
Do you love football and want to learn Dutch? This booklet helps you do both.
It contains specific football words, illustrations, and games – fun for children and adults.
It’s a collaboration between vzw de Rand, the Royal Belgian Football Association (RBFA), and the Dutch Language Union.

The game box contains cards with illustrations and words you hear in a football club or during a camp.
Through classic games like memory or pictionary, children who know little Dutch can playfully learn football vocabulary.
App SportNed
With the SportNed app, you can learn and practice Dutch. You learn vocabulary and can listen, read, speak, and write.

Leisure game box for children
This game box includes cards with illustrations and vocabulary used on the playground, during holiday camps, or summer activities.
Through games like memory and pictionary, children playfully learn essential words.

Practice Dutch with the music of Lennaert Maes and the Bonski’s. Each CD includes a free booklet with exercises and language games.

Cookbook Cuisine Mundial
Do you enjoy cooking and trying new recipes? Then this cookbook is for you.
The Dutch used in the recipes is simple. The book contains photos of ingredients and utensils, plus an extra word list.
It also comes with a memory game featuring 30 words (60 cards) related to cooking materials and ingredients.
