The Koruso choir arose from the theatre performance 'Gelukkig zijn'. During the performance a group of people, all of different ages, set off in search of happiness, along with the audience. Each in his/her own way. To the sound of well-known songs in Dutch. The people performing all had different mother tongues or cultural backgrounds. In September 2016 the ‘Gelukkig zijn’ choir was given a new lease of life. It became Koruso, a new international choir made up of singers from 'Gelukkig zijn' and new people, Dutch speakers and non-Dutch speakers. Koruso means choir in Esperanto. Koruso sings mainly tunes in Dutch. Andy Dhondt conducts the choir.
